Pottery

Decoupage is a French word meaning decoration of pot. This technique is essentially meant for value addition of terracotta by fixing the photograph of persons, paintings, logos of organizations etc. Since personalized gift items can be prepared, there is good demand for these. The capital investment is very low: less than Rs.5000/-and the training takes only 2 to 3 days.

How to do?

  1. Surface finishing of raw terracotta pots.
  2. Applying primer on the brown surface to make the surface white.
  3. Smoothen the surface again with sand paper.
  4. Fix the photograph of your choice on the polished surface of the pot. Touch the photo edges with wall putty and polish the same
  5. Now the pot is ready for painting.
